We think that Psykinematix, as a stand-alone solution, is one of the most unique and affordable solutions dedicated to visual psychophysics, visual cognition and visual neuroscience. All editions come with a complete documentation available in HTML format and as a 400-page iBook along numerous examples, demos and step-by-step tutorials covering all components of the suite. If needed, support packages can be purchased separately at any time to make the most of Psykinematix.

All prices below (in US dollars, excluding sales tax if applicable) are for students or academic staff working at Universities only. † Internet activation/deactivation
Psykinematix can be activated or deactivated at any time on a particular computer by selecting the "Activate/Deactivate" menu, entering your registration information, and pressing the "Activate/Deactivate" button. Once activated, Psykinematix runs without limitation in time or functionality on the authorized computer until this computer is de-authorized through a deactivation. Once deactivated, Psykinematix can only run in demo mode on the de-authorized computer until this computer is authorized again. An active internet connection and a user with Admin access are only required at activation and deactivation times.

‡ Support
Psykinematix includes an exhaustive documentation (~ 400 pages) as well as as numerous demos, examples and tutorials. The documentation is also available online here and in the form of a free iPad's iBooks Textbook. All licensees have also full access to the Psykinematix Forum or the FaceBook Group to get help and share their experiences with other users. If you need a more personalized and timely support, our point-based support packages include email incident tickets, experimental designs, software and hardware customizations.

Version Differences

– Versions 1.* of Student & Standard Editions are free upgrades (like all updates since 2008) for all Psykinematix users and remains compatible with older PowerPC-based Macintosh computers and Mac OS X 10.4 & 10.5. Although they do not support the most recent capabilities of modern graphics card, they are the entry-level versions of Psykinematix for students and reseachers and we will continue to provide regular & free updates for these versions.

☛  Easiest way to upgrade to version 1.* is to open Psykinematix and select the 'Check for Updates...' option in Psykinematix menu.

– Version 2.* GPU Edition is a paid upgrade that brings support for GPU-based stimulus generation and only works on Intel-based Macintosh computers running Mac OS X 10.6 or better (you should continue using v1.* otherwise). This is the version we recommend for researchers who need additional computational power to run their experiments or are running experiments too demanding in terms of video memory or computation time.

– Version 2.* Bits#/Display++ Edition (Psykinematix #), available exclusively from Cambridge Research Systems (CRS) and official resellers, is dedicated to the Bits# Stimulus Processor and Display++ LCD Monitor from CRS in addition of GPU support. Like the GPU Edition, it only works on Intel-based Macintosh computers running Mac OS X 10.6 or better.

☛  To upgrade to version 2.* Bits# Edition, please contact directly a CRS sales representative (or one of their official regional resellers: Namoto in Japan).


Conditions of Use
The purchased licenses to Psykinematix are made to you as an individual or an entity and permit installation on multiple computer systems of your choosing for use by you and co-workers you are responsible of. You shall be also responsible for maintaining the computers activated through your personal license information, and you must take appropriate safeguards to protect Psykinematix from being activated on non-authorized computer systems through the use of your personal license information. Note also that when several licenses are purchased at a time, they are all assigned to the same licensee with a unique activation key.

"No Refund" Policy
All sales are final. Because KyberVision offers a FREE 30-day trial to ensure that this product will meet your needs without the need to purchase, there will be absolutely NO REFUNDS.

Before deciding to purchase a license to the release version of Psykinematix, please be sure to download, install and fully test the free trial version that we provide. We do not offer refunds on software that has been delivered to customers via download.

If a customer purchases a license to a release version of Psykinematix, we do not offer a cash refund or an exchange. Unlike physical goods, electronically distributed software and software licenses can be easily duplicated. Accordingly, it is our policy that once we have distributed a release version to a customer, the sale is final, and you may not return the software for a refund or credit.
